Impression and Engagement Stats

This article describes the specific impression, reach, and engagement types, organized by social network or content source, that our campaign reporting system captures. 

Hosted CMS

These statistics only apply if the post was published to a property hosted on the CreatorPlatform CMS.

  • Tidal Hits CountImpression - the number of pageviews for the post on the hosted CMS
  • Tidal Votes CountEngagement - the number of "votes" (if applicable) on the post

Blog Posts

  • Blog Pageviews CountImpression - Total number of pageviews on the source blog post. Only available if the creator has verified their blog with Google Analytics
  • Blog Comments CountEngagement - Where possible, we detect the number of comments on the blog post through the blog's native commenting widget
  • Blog ReachReach - If verified with Google Analytics, blog reach represents the average unique monthly visitors to the blog over the last three months
  • Social Shares - Various - When a blog post is shared by its URL to other social networks (ie, Twitter or Facebook), we count those shares underneath the social network's designation.

Instagram Posts

  • Instagram Comment CountEngagement - Total number of comments on the Instagram post
  • Instagram Like CountEngagement - Total number of likes on the Instagram post
  • Instagram ReachReach - Total followers of the creator

Twitter Posts

  • Twitter Tweet Count Engagement - Tracks when a post is shared on Twitter
  • Twitter Retweet Count Engagement - Number of retweets of a Tweet
  • Twitter Favorite CountEngagement - Number of likes/hearts for the Tweet
  • Twitter ReachReach - Total followers of the creator

Pinterest Posts

  • Pinterest Comment Count Engagement - Number of comments on a Pin
  • Pinterest Save Count Engagement - Number of saves/likes on a Pin
  • Pinterest ReachReach - Total followers of the creator

Facebook Posts

  • Facebook Reaction CountEngagement - Total number of reactions (likes, loves, "hahas") on the Facebook post
  • Facebook Share CountEngagement - Number of times the Facebook post was shared by another Facebook user
  • Facebook Comment CountEngagement - Number of comments on the Facebook post
  • Facebook Comment Plugin CountEngagement - When using the Facebook Comment Plugin (ie, on a published property), the total number of comments via the Comment Plugin
  • Facebook ReachReach - Total followers of the creator if a personal Facebook account; total fans or liking users if a Facebook Page

YouTube Videos

  • YouTube Like CountEngagement - Number of likes on a YouTube video
  • YouTube Dislike CountEngagement - Number of dislikes/thumbs-down on a YouTube video
  • YouTube Comment CountEngagement - Number of comments on a YouTube video
  • YouTube View CountImpression - Number of views of the video
  • YouTube ReachReach - Total followers of the creator

Other

  • Other EngagementsEngagement - A catch-all category for any other types of engagements not listed here. Examples include tracking link clicks or Instastory engagements.
  • Other ImpressionsImpression - A catch-all category for any other types of impressions not listed here. Examples include blog pageviews data that was manually uploaded for blogs not connected to Google Analytics.

Notes

  • For the purposes of EMV, ROI, and Engagement Percent calculations, total reach and total impressions are added together
