In order for us to track the performance of your Instagram content, you must connect your Instagram profile using their API.
The Instagram API requires us to ask that permission of you so that we can track engagements on your content (required by our clients). Instagram lumps the 'read comments' permission in with the 'post and delete comments' permission, so it looks like we are asking permission to post comments for you, but we simply do not do that.
We never, under any circumstances, post or delete comments on your behalf.
We only need and use "read-only" permissions to your account, so that we can report on content and engagements, but unfortunately the Instagram permissions system doesn't let us specify that we are only reading statistics.
